Speaker's Profile

ROY Deepanjan is the Group Executive Director at the TGI Group since September 2021. In his current capacity he leads the Foods and Distribution Vertical of the group. 

Prior to joining the TGI Group, he was the Vice President, CHI Franchise at the Coca Cola Company’s Africa Operating Unit. 

Roy has also been the Managing Director of CHI Ltd which is the largest Still Beverage and Value-Added Dairy player in West Africa. He has worked extensively in the foods, beverage and dairy sectors in West Africa and has over 24 years of experience in creating and managing consumer product businesses in emerging markets. 

Before CHI Ltd , Deepanjan was the COO of the Watanmal group, one of the largest packaged foods businesses in West and Central Africa. 

He started his career with ITC Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of BAT Plc. 

Roy has a Graduate Engineering degree in Food and Dairy Technology and a Master Degree in Business from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
